An insanely powerful post by a new writer on Medium.
His name is Justin Caffrey, please follow him if that’s something you do. Hopefully the story he published isn’t the only one he writes, but sometimes that’s what happens.
A writer wants to share a story, and when it’s done, it’s done.
My Life Found Meaning When My Infant Son Died was shared with me yesterday. I read it early in the morning and had to re-read it a few times.
I think this one took my breath away because 2/3 of my kids were born premature, the youngest was in the NICU for 10 days and we almost lost her a time or two.
It was mentally and physically exhausting, but we all came out on the other side.
Justin, and his wife Beatrice, experienced the worst outcome, but it changed their lives in ways they didn’t expect.
A few of my favorite quotes:
I learned a deep appreciation of time from that experience and a sense of the potential fragility within each moment.
Not everything has to be explained. Within the unfolding of life, we can often find the most profoundly beautiful moments. You just have to let them unfold.
Check it out if you have the opportunity, here’s another link to the story.
Hope you’re having a great week.
